It handles mud, snow, and sand with ease with optional all-wheel drive (AWD). Honda offers a 3-year, 36,000-mile basic warranty, and a 5-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty on its lineup.

For reference, a score of 0 implies a 0.15% chance of driver death (13% chance of driver injury) over 15 years, and a score of 100 reflects a 0.016% chance (1.4% chance of driver injury). The 2015 Honda CR-V has a score of 72, implying a 0.053% chance of driver death (4.7% chance of injury). If equipped with optional advanced driver safety features, the chance of death falls to 0.047%, and the chance of injury falls to 4.2%.
