For reference, a score of 0 implies a 0.15% chance of driver death (13% chance of driver injury) over 15 years, and a score of 100 reflects a 0.016% chance (1.4% chance of driver injury). The 2022 Ford F-150 has a score of 86, implying a 0.034% chance of driver death (3% chance of injury). Ford's Co-Pilot360 active safety features can protect loved ones by preventing accidents and reducing accident severity. The following active safety system is included even on lower trims/versions of the 2022 Ford F-150: Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. There are optional safety features on the 2022 Ford F-150 which may add to the cost but should be strongly considered --- Lane Keeping System and BLIS Blind Spot Detection with Cross-Traffic Alert.

Some safety technologies get a lot of press, but others may also improve safety. Optional side mirror turn signals can help when you don't see a vehicle in your blind spot, by alerting them to your intention to switch lanes, which allows the other driver to avoid an accident with you. Optional Automatic High Beam Headlamps on the 2022 Ford F-150 automatically switches off high beams headlights when another vehicle is nearby. Optional Adaptive-Pixel LED Headlamps better illuminate the road ahead --- the lights point towards the direction that the vehicle is heading.
